Timing and prevailing eligibility
This procedure is for MOM-issued LTVPs; ICA-issued LTVPs can only be renewed with ICA. The employer or appointed EA must apply before expiry. Usually the window opens six months before expiry, calculated as 180 days by MOM’s date tool. EP (Sponsorship) and EntrePass dependants have a three-month window.
Early renewal does not forfeit remaining validity: the renewed period starts when the current pass expires. Missing the deadline requires a new application. Renewal is assessed against current eligibility and is not guaranteed. Validity follows the main pass or shorter requested period.
Fees and processing
Issuance costs S$225, plus S$30 for each applicable Multiple Journey Visa. Most EP eService renewals take three weeks; most EP (Sponsorship) or EntrePass dependant cases take eight weeks.
Standard and special routes
For the standard route, log in to EP eService and update the organisation’s preceding three years of turnover before submission.
EP (Sponsorship) and EntrePass dependants use the downloaded renewal application form and supporting documents, submitted through their respective online forms. The outcome is emailed to the application’s contact person.
Issuance after approval
An approved renewal gives an IPA valid for three months for EP dependants or two months for S Pass dependants. Follow its instructions and issue the pass before the IPA or current pass expires, whichever is earlier. The renewed period starts at current-pass expiry.
Existing card and digital pass
If the notification letter says to continue using the existing card, retain it. Unnecessarily returning it incurs S$65.40 including GST for replacement. If a new card is issued, cut the old card in half and discard it to prevent misuse.
Help the holder set up SGWorkPass and use Singpass to view the digital pass.
