Ahead of January 2025 protections, operators could arrange work-injury insurance; from 1 November 2024 they could notify MOM of platform status. Earlier notification avoids repeating it at commencement.
Details and conditions
Workers born before 1995 could opt into increased CPF from November without a deadline, but cannot reverse the choice. Eligible lower-income workers receive automatically assessed transition support; those declining remain subject to MediSave deductions.
Context and follow-up
Applications to register platform work associations also opened in November. Registered associations could seek recognition for bargaining from January. The release names five designated insurers at that date and links calculators for contributions and support.
