What the release reports
Parliament passed the dispute-resolution Bill on 4 November 2025, following the first workplace-fairness Bill in January. The announced target for implementation is end-2027.
Details and conditions
Employers must have grievance processes; unresolved discrimination claims require mediation before adjudication. Claims up to S$250,000 go to the Employment Claims Tribunals, where simplified judge-led procedures exclude lawyers; higher claims go to the High Court. Both forums hear these claims privately.
Context and follow-up
Safeguards permit striking out abusive claims, adverse costs, investigation for court-process abuse and restrictions on repeated proceedings. Employers should prepare HR and grievance systems with the published guidance. Passage of the Bill and its intended future commencement are separate milestones.
