Announcement and status
Four related former agency licensees were convicted in 2022 of performing or assisting unlawful agency activity and other employment offences. All were permanently barred from the industry. Individual fines and the compensation order appear below.
Case details and examples
Iris and Kiff placed permit holders after losing licences; Grace allowed use of her agency account and performed unregistered work under Pauline’s agency. Two workers were overcharged. The compensation figure in the sentencing table is retained as stated, separate from the investigation’s overcharge figures.
Official advisory and follow-up
The release cites up to S$80,000 or two years or both for unlicensed agency operation or assistance. Fees were capped at one month’s salary per service year, maximum two months.
