EP Fixed Monthly Salary: Age Tables and Cash Flow
Salary planning has two questions: the official threshold and the employer’s ability to pay the agreed salary. Check MOM’s age, sector and date tables; budget basic salary, fixed allowances, payment dates and operating costs. Variable bonuses should not be averaged into fixed salary. Keep contracts, forms and payroll records consistent.
Use the applicable table
MOM’s salary tables distinguish age, sector and effective dates. Use the column for the actual application or renewal; a single number in an online article does not cover every applicant.
Keep remuneration consistent
Define salary components, currency, payment frequency and duties consistently across the contract, application explanation and budget. Check the official fixed monthly salary definition before treating bonuses or allowances as qualifying salary.
Make the budget workable
Include the proposed salary in a cash-flow budget alongside expenses, expected income and funding sources. A workable operating plan matters; changing a figure on paper is not a substitute for real arrangements.
Preparation Example
If a package contains base salary, variable bonuses and allowances, list them separately before checking the applicable definition. Dividing total annual earnings by twelve does not itself establish a qualifying fixed monthly salary.
Pre-consultation Checklist
Application or expiry timing; age and sector; salary components; company cash-flow budget.
EP Questions and Practical Answers
Where can I check the 2027 EP salary changes?
The salary-change article in this library compares current and upcoming thresholds for five ages. New applications and renewals use different timing rules. Record age, sector, application timing or pass expiry before checking the official table.
