Eligibility and evidence
Eligible current/former NRIC or FIN holders, or persons holding a Singapore birth certificate, may request confirmation of citizenship status. Prepare the requested passport, birth/citizenship certificate or IC evidence. Persons aged at least 16 normally request for themselves; a parent/proxy for a younger child follows the authorisation requirements.
Digital letter and fee
Fee S$20; complete requests normally take three working days. The issued digital confirmation letter has no signature, stamp or QR code. It is a status-confirmation letter, not a replacement citizenship certificate.
