Eligible LTVP Categories
Eligible categories are LTVP/LTVP+ spouses of Singapore citizens or PRs, or unmarried children under 21 of citizens/PRs holding LTVP. At least three months’ validity and a Singapore job offer are required. DP holders seeking employment use applicable WP, S Pass or EP routes instead.
Who Applies and When Work Starts
The employer or appointed employment agent applies. Work can start only after the employer receives LOC. Objectionable occupations, such as dance hostess, are prohibited. A job offer or submission alone is not work authorisation.
LOC Validity
Validity ends at the earlier of the employer’s requested period or LTVP/LTVP+ expiry. LOC also ceases when residence status ends or employment with the company stops; the employer must still cancel it. Track both residence and employment changes.
Distinguish Other LOC Routes
ICA-family LOC, PLOC and DP-business-owner LOC serve different circumstances. Confirm issuer, relationship and whether the plan is employment or business activity. Review validity, job offer and employer contact before applying another route’s criteria.
