Choose the mortgage transaction
At myTax Portal select Stamp Duty and log in as Individual User or Business User. On Overview, open Stamping > Stamp Mortgage Documents. The form permits an optional organisational file reference. Select the nature of transaction, with illustrated choices Mortgage, Transfer of Mortgage or Equitable Mortgage (Signed under hand), and the document description, such as agreement for mortgage, charge, debenture, deed of assignment or mortgage. Retrieve a related past stamping record by Document Ref No. if relevant, or skip that retrieval.
Document format, signature and loan details
Choose physical or electronic format. The electronic route asks for modes of offer and acceptance; the examples include email, messaging, website/portal and other channels. The tooltip says an electronic offer or acceptance by any party in a multi-party arrangement makes the instrument electronic. Record whether signed in Singapore or overseas, the document date, and, for an overseas document, the date received in Singapore. An unsigned document uses the indicated unavailable-date checkbox. Choose open or fixed mortgage and enter the loan facilities amount in Singapore dollars.
Mortgagors and mortgagees
Enter mortgagor and mortgagee profiles, names and identity details separately, adding another party where needed. Profiles include Singapore citizen, PR, foreigner and entity. Foreign identifiers include FIN, passport or others; entity identifiers include local-company, business and other UEN categories or others. Confirm whether a party grants the security or receives it rather than swapping the two sections.
Identify the secured asset
Choose Property, Land, Stock & Shares or Security. For property, enter the postal code and retrieve the populated address, then complete unit details. The screenshot permits more units and notes that a unit not found in the address may still be entered if it appears in the document. The guide names other asset types but does not fully illustrate every field for those types.
Review, pay and obtain the certificate
At Summary, review the entered information, use section-edit controls to correct it, check the amount payable and tick the review declaration. Proceed using the preferred payment mode and retain the Document Ref No. The edition illustrates Proceed to Acknowledgement for offline modes such as cheque. For GIRO, the acknowledgement appears and the stamp certificate is downloadable once payment succeeds. An acknowledgement alone should not be confused with a successfully paid certificate. The guide is an interface walkthrough, not a full explanation of mortgage-duty rates, deadlines or relief.
