New information must address the rejection
Appeal only when new information or corrective action resolves the issues in the rejection advisory. Without such a change the outcome will not change. If a request to amend the candidate’s personal particulars is pending, wait for that decision before appealing.
Deadline and authorised applicant
Submit within 30 days of rejection. A late case needs a fresh application assessed against the prevailing criteria. Only the prospective employer or employment agent that submitted the application may enquire or appeal; MOM does not process requests from the candidate or other persons.
Submit and track the appeal
Find the rejected application in myMOM Portal under Work Passes > Quick Menu > View details, then select Submit an appeal under Appeal for a Work Permit. If the button is unavailable, consult MOM’s explanation of possible reasons. MOM contacts the applicant for clarification or supporting evidence if needed. Check status and print the outcome letter in the portal. Ninety per cent of appeals are processed within three weeks; the outcome is emailed to the address supplied.
