Three ways to test preparedness
Drills familiarise staff with evacuation routes, hiding locations and procedures. Case-study discussions ask how the organisation would have responded to an actual overseas attack. An authorised red team tests whether security arrangements can detect an attempted intrusion and limit its consequences.
Use findings to improve the plan
Record gaps in detection, reporting, decision-making and business continuity, then assign improvements and retest. Red-team activities need clear authorisation, safety boundaries and controls to avoid alarming the public. The bulletin’s invitation to the private-transport seminar on 28 May 2018 is a historical event notice.
