Prepare and protect
Train with tenants through tabletop, lockdown and evacuation exercises; establish an ERP and CERT. Review bollards, entrance checks, CCTV, resistant doors, shelters and notices. Maintain patrols, housekeeping, sensitive-area access controls, tenant feedback and dynamic lockdown procedures.
Cyber, partners and communications
Prepare a cyber incident plan and BCP. Maintain contractor support lists, employee/next-of-kin contacts and an authoritative mall channel. Engage tenants, join relevant security networks, designate a spokesperson and crisis team.
Respond building-wide
Activate CERT and alarms/PA, secure Fire Command Centre access and coordinate safe lockdown or evacuation. Check assembly locations for secondary danger. Give responders floor plans and CCTV information and alert neighbours. For cyber incidents identify the breach and data affected, contain systems and notify affected parties.
Recover with tenants
Support distressed people, verify official information, prevent rumours/discrimination and coordinate reopening with suppliers and tenants. Activate the BCP and capture lessons.
