Employment status and calculation
Part-time means a contract for fewer than 35 hours a week; ad-hoc engagement can also be part-time under the Employment Act. Notify the licensing officer of hiring and termination. Hourly floors are derived from the comparable full-time rank on 12-hour shifts, 5.5 days weekly or the 5/6/5/6 pattern. PWM rates are minimums, not maximum pay.

Overtime and future review
Where the equivalent monthly basic salary is S$2,600 or less, Part 4 overtime rules continue to apply, including at least 1.5 times the basic hourly rate. The report notes a workgroup reviewing working hours; a future review is not permission to exceed the existing monthly extra-hours cap. It encourages security-risk assessments, technology and outcome-based procurement.
