Two payment bands
Hours above the part-timer’s daily contractual hours but within comparable full-time normal hours are paid at the hourly basic rate. Hours above the full-timer’s normal day attract 1.5 times the basic hourly rate.
Nine-hour example
With a four-hour part-time day, an eight-hour full-time comparator and S$5 basic hourly pay, working nine hours produces overtime payment (4×5)+(1×5×1.5)=S$27.50, in addition to the normal four-hour pay.
