Workcare began in 2019 to improve essential workers’ environments and public appreciation. Workcare Grant applications closed on 31 August 2023. The historical eligibility and amounts below are retained for reference and must not be presented as an open grant.
Historical conditions and support
Building owners engaging third-party providers with at least 10 outsourced essential workers, such as cleaners, security or landscape workers at their building, were eligible. A new rest area attracted 80% of costs up to S$8,000; improvement of an existing area attracted 80% up to S$3,000. The historical process used an NTUC U-Care form sent to [email protected]. The tripartite rest-area advisory and MOM pilot-study findings remain useful workplace-well-being references.
