Historical masterplan
The CET Masterplan launched in 2008 and was refreshed in 2014 to strengthen competitiveness and career resilience. Its aim was to let working adults deepen skills throughout their careers regardless of initial qualifications, within SkillsFuture’s integrated training and lifelong-learning approach.
Three areas of focus
The plan emphasised deep workforce expertise with employer involvement; better education, training and career guidance for informed choices; and a vibrant CET ecosystem with diverse quality learning opportunities. Government, employers and stakeholders were to value acquired skills and support skill-based advancement. This page preserves that 2014 policy background rather than introducing a new grant application.
