Partners and priorities
Tripartism brings government, unions and employers together to seek objective, non-confrontational economic and social outcomes. It supports industrial harmony, manpower solutions and competitiveness. Priorities include employer/worker capability, support for vulnerable and mature workers, inclusion, progressive practice and fairness.
Roles of each partner
MOM sets and implements workforce policies. NTUC, a union confederation with associations and partners, supports lifelong employability, worker welfare and an inclusive labour movement. The reviewed MOM page describes 58 affiliated unions, 7 associations, 12 social enterprises and 6 related organisations. SNEF, founded in 1980, represents employers across sectors and promotes responsible practice and flexibility; the page describes over 3,300 corporate members. These organisational counts are source-page figures, not a promise of unchanged membership.
