Age and University Requirements
Applicants must be 18–25 and undergraduates or graduates of universities in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, the UK or the US. The university must be recognised by the relevant government. University background is not interchangeable with citizenship or travel history.
Residence and Full-Time Study
Undergraduates must have been resident full-time university students for at least three months before applying. Graduates must have been resident full-time students. Records should explain residence and study history, not merely name the university.
Duration, Capacity and Professional Registration
The programme permits work and holidays for up to six months, with capacity for 2,000 holders at a time. Medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, architecture, law and similar professions retain registration requirements. Basic eligibility does not settle capacity, approval or professional authorisation.
Avoid Confusing the Two Programmes
The separate twelve-month Australia/New Zealand programmes use citizenship, age 18–30 and education requirements. Do not import their age or duration into this programme. Confirm the route before reviewing university recognition, residence, travel and budgets.
