What the release reports
From April 2019, companies no longer make a separate MOM construction-worksite registration application. Required information is integrated into BCA’s structural-work permit.
Details and conditions
The change avoids duplicate fees and uses a shared database for inspections, with estimated annual savings of S$1.7 million.
Context and follow-up
BCA permission and safety obligations remain. Removing duplicate registration is administrative simplification, not authority to start structural works without the required permit or ignore MOM inspections.
Official source
This report is independently written from the MOM release dated above. Case status, policy announcements and historical figures refer to that release.
