What the release reports
The 2023 announcement explains C5 skills and C6 strategic-economic-priority bonuses ahead of new applications in September 2023 and renewals in September 2024.
Details and conditions
Shortage occupations earn up to twenty points, reduced to ten where the candidate’s nationality forms at least one-third of firm PMETs. Candidates needing the bonus face qualification or experience checks and occupation restrictions; redeployment requires reassessment.
Context and follow-up
Supported firms in eligible programmes receive ten C6 points for up to three years. Continued support requires at least ten points for every nationality on C3 and ten on C4. Agencies and NTUC support must accompany local-workforce commitments; participation alone does not guarantee the bonus.
COMPASS bonus overview
| Criterion | Bonus | Key condition |
|---|---|---|
| C5 shortage skills | 20 or 10 | Nationality share and verified shortage role |
| C6 strategic priorities | 10 | Agency-supported programme and local commitments |
