What the release reports
Twelve providers were selected for qualification checks supporting new EP applications from September 2023. Qualifications declared for COMPASS points at diploma level or above require verification.
Details and conditions
Alternatives include accepted government or institution portals and qualifying OpenCerts digital certificates. Checks must establish qualification authenticity and institution accreditation. The release estimated S$30–S$60 per check and one to two weeks for most cases.
Context and follow-up
The rule extends to previously unassessed renewals from September 2024; already verified qualifications need not be verified again for later renewals. Employers should plan checks early and use Workforce Insights for firm-related COMPASS scores. Provider pricing and timelines are historical estimates, not guarantees.
