Announcement and status
From 1 September 2025, the announced requirement applies where a household has a child under seven who is not fully vaccinated against measles and the migrant domestic worker is not immune. Employers make the relevant declaration at issuance or renewal.
Case details and examples
The declaration can confirm the worker’s immunity, full vaccination of all children under seven, or a booked vaccination appointment. Immunity evidence may include vaccination records, serology or laboratory confirmation of past infection. The release specifies two MMR doses at least 28 days apart; employers bear vaccination and testing costs.
Official advisory and follow-up
Annex A estimated two-dose costs at S$80–S$140, subject to provider confirmation. It encourages checking immunity where household members are immunocompromised and explains sample checks and possible suspension of work-pass privileges until vaccination proof is supplied. These are the June 2025 announcement and its examples.
Issuance or renewal: declaration options
| Option | What is declared |
|---|---|
| 1 | MDW vaccinated or already immune |
| 2 | All children under seven fully vaccinated |
| 3 | MDW vaccination appointment booked |
The requirement concerns a non-immune worker and a household with an incompletely vaccinated child under seven. Evidence can be vaccination records, serology or laboratory confirmation of past infection.
