What Is the C6 Strategic Economic Priorities Bonus?
C6, the Strategic Economic Priorities (SEP) bonus, recognises firms partnering with economic agencies on investment, innovation and internationalisation, or endorsed by NTUC for company and workforce transformation. It is a firm-level bonus rather than a score earned by the candidate’s qualification.
How Are 10 Points Awarded?
Participation in, or meeting the criteria of, at least one eligible programme can earn 10 points, subject to the supporting agency’s discretion. MOM notifies recognised organisations and the points appear in SAT. Investment intentions, prior agency contact or unrelated activities do not establish an award.
How Long Is the Bonus Valid?
Validity is up to three years or the firm’s eligible programme participation period, whichever is shorter. Check award notices and current SAT results before applying. Bonus validity and the candidate’s EP duration are distinct and do not guarantee identical pass terms for employees.
C3 and C4 Requirements Before Renewal
The supporting agency reassesses continued support at the end of validity. The firm must remain in an eligible programme and score at least 10 for C3 and at least 10 for C4 in each of the three months before renewal. Both conditions apply each month; a three-month average does not establish compliance.
Practical Preparation for Employers
Keep agency notices, programme records and validity dates, with a named person monitoring Workforce Insights and SAT. Track C3 and C4 monthly when planning renewal and clarify requirements with the supporting agency. Eligible programmes may change; consult MOM’s current list rather than inferring eligibility from past programme names.
