Singpass Foreign User Account: Personal Tax Access Without a Singapore ID

Foreign individuals without a Singapore-issued ID may need an SFA for personal income or property tax. Business Corppass users follow a different account-issuance route.

Who applies through IRAS

The page includes former citizens or permanent residents, former FIN holders whose passes were cancelled, and foreign individuals with an IRAS tax reference. Prepare a national ID or, where unavailable, a passport with at least six months’ validity; a unique accessible email address; and any existing or previous IRAS tax reference. Corppass users handling business tax receive an SFA through the Corppass process and need not apply separately to IRAS for that purpose.

Activation and access scope

IRAS estimates the activation email within ten working days. Follow the Singpass email and mobile-app setup instructions, and activate within 90 days or the account will be terminated. After setup, allow one working day for myTax Portal synchronisation. An SFA issued through another organisation does not automatically cover IRAS personal tax: the page explains how to apply using the existing SFA ID and the same identification document. Check both activation status and document validity if login fails.
