Choose the year and working pattern
The Excel workbook contains separate 2025 and 2026 sheets for a Monday–Friday week, a Saturday half-day week and a six-day week with Sunday rest. Working days include public holidays falling on normal working days and exclude rest/non-working days. A different roster needs its own working-day count.
All monthly values
Select the correct month before using the incomplete-month formula. Annual totals in either sheet are 261, 287 and 313 working days for the three respective patterns; those totals are not a replacement for the month-specific divisor.

Formula and example
Incomplete-month salary = monthly gross rate of pay ÷ total working days in the month × days actually worked. For January 2026 under a five-day week, the table gives 22 working days; S$2,200 monthly gross pay for 10 eligible working days is S$1,000. Check paid leave/public-holiday treatment and the employee’s actual work pattern separately.
Who should use this calculator
MOM’s calculator is for monthly-rated full-time employees calculating salary for an incomplete month. The version on the official page covers months in 2025 and 2026 and links to the working-days table for those years. It does not establish a separate part-time formula.
Calculation and official tool
For the relevant monthly-rated calculation, multiply monthly gross salary by days actually worked and divide by the total working days in that month. Check the working-day definition in the linked monthly-and-daily salary guide, including applicable public holidays and paid leave. Use the official calculator and its working-days table, and accept the service terms before use.
