Four messages across the language editions
The posters use workplace scenarios to explain excessive overtime, missing pay slips, unpaid salary and signing salary vouchers. The same messages appear in several languages; this page brings their practical meaning together.
Hours and payroll evidence
For employees covered by Part IV, overtime is normally capped at 72 hours a month, subject to authorised exemptions, and the ordinary daily work limit and exceptions must be checked separately. Overtime pay is at least 1.5 times hourly basic pay. Keep monthly pay slips and check their overtime hours and amounts against actual work.
Do not sign for money not received
Sign a salary voucher only after verifying payment and its amount; never sign a blank voucher. If wages are delayed or missing, retain contracts, work records and payment evidence and use MOM or TADM assistance. A bank transfer can provide a useful payment trail.
