Who applies and timing
Employers or company representatives use Corppass with Employment Standards Online (ESOL) assigned by their administrator. Check Assigned eServices and request access if absent. Apply at least 2 months before FWS starts; the form takes about 20–30 minutes and complete submissions take 30 working days to process.
Pre-application conditions
Employees working fewer than contractual hours must continue to receive monthly basic salary. Maintain a good safety/health record and no hazardous work environment. Respect 12-hour daily and 72-hour monthly overtime limits. Obtain consent from more than 50% of affected staff, or the union in a unionised firm, and establish profit-sharing or incentives for participants.
Documents and complete proposal
Complete the official affected-employee name list. Prepare company particulars, business activities, reasons and evidence of seasonal/fluctuating demand, implementation date and union name where relevant. Consent must show the scheme was explained. Supply a recent signed contract with key employment terms and combine payslips/time records for 5 employees over the latest 6 months in one PDF.
