How Is Quota Calculated?
The route covers Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Its 8% sub-quota also sits within manufacturing’s 60% or services’ 35% ceiling. Salary Floor and Restricted Scope
All list holders need at least S$2,000 fixed monthly salary; cancel the permit if this cannot be met. The restricted list reflects manpower shortages, local employment and infrastructure considerations and remains under review. Job titles cannot substitute for actual duties.
Heavy-Vehicle Licence Cut-off
Drivers must already have held valid Class 4 or 5 licences as of 1 September 2025. Training/testing backlogs explain the initial restriction to existing licence holders affected by S Pass salary changes. Later licensing does not automatically satisfy the cut-off; follow future MOM/Traffic Police reviews.
Food and Childcare Roles Have Different Criteria
Food-shop/supermarket licences support listed food-service roles; processing roles require processing/slaughterhouse licences. Supermarkets may need meat/seafood preparation or on-site cooking. Infant caregivers serve ages 2–18 months; childcare workers ages 2 months–4 years; aides support educators and a safe environment. All listed childcare roles except aides require ECDA-recognised qualifications.
SFA Record Delays and Occupation Changes
MOM normally verifies SFA licences directly. New/renewed licence records may lag; if the system reports no record, submit a copy through go.gov.sg/sfa-licence-ntsol. Role changes must stay within the list and meet current criteria, with a prior WP Online request.
