Enhanced six-monthly examinations start on 29 August 2021 to help detect abuse, alongside existing pregnancy and infection screening.
Details and conditions
Clinics record height, weight and BMI, check suspicious injuries, and examine workers without employers or representatives present. Home-based examinations are no longer allowed.
Context and follow-up
Every examination form must be submitted to MOM, regardless of results. Comparing measurements over time can identify concerning changes; the examination is a safeguard and does not replace employers’ duty to provide proper care.
