What the release reports
The Food Services PWM starts on 1 March 2023 for about 41,000 resident workers, with a six-month wage adjustment period. Entry wages rise from S$1,750 in 2023 to S$2,080 in 2025.
Details and conditions
Quick-service and full-service establishments have separate role ladders. Covered workers need two relevant WSQ modules, with employers allowed until end-February 2024 to meet training requirements. Top-rung roles remain market-paid.
Context and follow-up
After the adjustment period, wage non-compliance can affect work-pass privileges. Occupational wages for administrators and drivers also start in March. This launch schedule precedes the separate 2026–2028 wage update.
