Household services pilot: basic child and elder minding

MOM publication date:

What the release reports

A two-year pilot starts on 15 March 2023, allowing twenty-five selected Household Services Scheme companies to offer basic child and elder minding with additional migrant manpower.

Details and conditions

Child services cover children older than eighteen months. Providers must assess household needs and disclose worker experience and qualifications. Elder-minding staff require relevant training or competency assessment where qualifications are absent.

Context and follow-up

Households should check suitability rather than assume part-time minding covers every care need. The original annex lists participating firms and permitted tasks. This is the pilot-stage announcement, not authority for unrestricted domestic deployment by other businesses.
