Eligibility and use
Singapore citizens with no past criminal convictions may apply as genuine business representatives, professional-body members or officials travelling on official business. Carry the valid passport with the card and use only the economies that pre-cleared the application. The US and Canada are transitional participants: the card does not replace their normal admission/visa requirements, although designated fast-track lanes may be available.
Documents and application
Prepare a photo within three months, a JPEG signature (preferred 250×220 pixels, below 60 KB), organisation support letter (JPEG/PDF below 1 MB) and passport. A self-signed letter needs the ACRA Business Profile. Professional-body applicants provide membership proof and reasons; overseas-company applicants provide registration in an accepted official language. Apply with Singpass 2FA. Passport changes or an expired card require a new application; obtain the replacement passport first.
Fee, processing and status
Fee: S$100, non-refundable; save the receipt because it is not automatically emailed. Most economy pre-clearances take up to four months; ICA issues a card around month four based on approvals received, and a final card around month nine for later clearances. Check the official ABTC status channel around four weeks after application, choosing Singapore and entering the passport number in capitals.
