When an appeal is appropriate
The appeal channel is for a rejected citizenship, PR or LTVP application. An application still being processed should await its outcome. A person without a previous application should make a new application instead. An appeal is assessed on its own merits.
Who submits and what to prepare
Use the official e-Service, rather than email, post or an in-person submission. Where the rejected application had a sponsor, that sponsor logs in with Singpass; otherwise the main applicant submits. For an original non-Singpass application, use the same email address. Provide new supporting information and acceptable translations where applicable. For example, explain a material change with documentary evidence rather than merely resending the previous form.
Outcome and timing
ICA does not specify a fixed appeal processing duration on this page. Follow the e-Service and email notifications for the result; submitting an appeal does not itself grant a pass or extend an existing stay.
