When replacement is needed
Apply to change the IC particulars/photo; a damaged or defaced IC must be replaced within 14 days. Prepare a compliant photo and the documents explaining the change. For minors’ names, obtain both parents’ consent or the appropriate court authority. A PR must update the passport name first.
Fee, timing and collection
The replacement fee is S$60. Submit through the Singpass e-Service. General processing is seven working days and may be longer during peak periods. Approval is notified by SMS/email; arrange collection within three months. A residential move alone uses the separate address-update service.
